Jason Hirt is a 22 year old drummer, songwriter, educator, and entrepreneur from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jason’s musical journey began at the age of six, when he first picked up a pair of drumsticks and began taking lessons through a local music shop in his hometown of Prior Lake, Minnesota. Throughout his teenage years and into college, Jason studied jazz, latin, rock and R&B styles to expand his musical vocabulary. Jason attended McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he studied percussion and music business. Jason also attends Full Sail University where he is currently working on his Bachelors of Science in Music Business. Since the age of 14, Jason has been performing with various groups throughout the Minnesota and Mid-West music scene. Most notably, as part of the progressive rock group Conduit. Jason has since developed an international resume, touring with Post-Black Metal band Ghost Bath(Nuclear Blast Entertainment). Jason has also toured with Pop-Rock outfit City of the Weak, as well as part of the Post-Hardcore five piece The Following. Jason has worked with many world-class producers and engineers, including Craig Owens (Chiodos, D.R.U.G.S., Isles and Glaciers), Jordan DiSorbo (Before Their Eyes), Josh Schroeder (King 810, The Color Morale, For Today) and Brandon Buttner (Justin Timberlake, Leona Lewis, Busta Rhymes).

In January of 2017, Jason launched Aeroa Creative, an artist development firm which he uses to aid in the growth of other artists. Jason Hirt is also a drum educator in the Twin Cities area. “My passion for education and helping others came from watching my teachers in college. I remember being in class, and learning so much more about my instrument from watching my teachers help the other students work through things they were struggling with. That understanding and compassion my teachers showed inspired and motivated me to give back to the musical community around me.”

Jason Hirt proudly endorses SJC Custom Drums, and Paiste Cymbals.
